Photographers

There has been a shift recently within the Music Industry, in starting to recognize the individuals behind the scenes. The people that pull together to make these amazing productions that worldwide audiences have come to expect, when attending a live show. These people are the Crew. They are the ones that have been there, working hard behind the scenes from day one. This recognition has been a long time coming and many greats in our field have left us without ever receiving such recognition. A lot of these greats I was fortunate to have as my mentors. I will seek to address that in another section of this site.

The description of what a Crew person is, has changed over the years as the face of live performances has morphed into these massive productions. There are many parts to what makes a tour successful. One such part is Promotion. This is where the Photographer comes in. There is not a more powerful conduit to capture who the performer truly is, than the Photographer. This is not accomplished by just turning up with a camera. It is years of building relationships with these often, unpredictable artists, to enable the perfect moment to be captured. Now, more than ever the role of the photographer is an all-important one. Imagine for a moment social media without these images taken by these amazingly talented people, who often do not receive the credit they deserve each time one of their images are shown.

This section of the site is dedicated to the Photographers that I have known over the years, that stepped up and generously allowed me to include some of their works in my book, LOUD.

I sincerely thank each, and every, one of you.
